Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be in shape to do class?

This is a common concern when starting BJJ, but we can tell you – you DO NOT! We see major body transformations from BJJ class alone. The most important thing is taking the first step and getting started.

What if I have an injury?

All of our instructors are experienced working around injuries. Just make sure you are very clear about your injury BEFORE the class starts to make sure your instructors know what exercises you can and cannot do.

How old does my child need to be to participate?

Currently our classes accommodate students 13yrs and older.

Are there women’s classes?

While many schools separate their student base, we believe you get the best training by mixing with the most training partners. That being said, Level Up is a female friendly gym with a HUGE base of female students and we understand it may take some time to get comfortable. You may choose to partner initially with other female students.
